Skill comes with practice. To no surprise this is also the case when you apply for a job. But would you still want to practice when applying to what may be THE job of your dreams?

In this training you can get ready beforehand! You will receive the self-marketing package for your next application. And you can practice what you have learned about how to use your application documents to make an outstanding first impression.

Aim

You know how to impress with your skills, experiences and style in a convincing written application.

Content

• SWOT analysis – what are your hard and soft strengths and when are they most relevant in the application process?
• Techniques to write a great covering letter which is different to that of other candidates  - how can it be outstanding and unique?
• Differences between English and German CVs – and what is a video CV?

Methods

Interactive input, discussion rounds, self-reflection, oral and written exercises as well as feedback will keep you active and improve your style.

Notes

This training is aimed at the scientific staff of the TU Berlin who would like to get ready for English applications.

If you wish to benefit from feedback on your individual CV, please send it to the trainer one week before the training. You will receive a reminder beforehand.

Student workers are welcome, subject to availability.
