Would you like to enhance your teaching with digital tools? You are welcome to participate in our workshop and learn about ISIS|moodle, the university’s learning management system.

After a short overview, we will show you the first steps on the learning platform. Bring your questions, if any, and together we can find solutions.

Aim

This workshop addresses all lecturers at TU Berlin, who would like to use ISIS|moodle for their lessons. You will be able to develop ideas for pedagogically useful scenarios, identify suitable tools and directly use them for your teaching.

Content

Get an overview of ISIS|moodle and find appropriate tools for scenarios or requirements like the following:

• Distribute learning materials or videos centrally

• Notify participants easily
• Prepare assignments for online or offline work
• Realize scheduling of meetings, polling of topics, and distribution of presentations
• Assign students to groups automatically
• Use forums and wikis to enable cooperative work
• Collect submissions in a well-arranged way

Furthermore, you may use the occasion to meet and network with other lecturers.

Methods

Besides short lectures, there will be hands-on exercises as well as discussions. We will give examples and practical tips for successful digital teaching with ISIS|moodle.

Notes

This is a course for beginners. Prior knowledge is not needed.
